The Michael Bauer winery, located in Mitterstockstall, is a place where nature and the unmistakable call of the hoopoe over the vineyards harmonize. The winegrower, known for his sense of humor, has put the cheeky bird with the red and black mop of hair on the labels of his wines.
The estate's wines are something special and offer an experience reminiscent of a vacation in a glass, a moment of celebration and enjoyment. They are wines that are ideal to be enjoyed in the company of good friends. With a selection ranging from Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben, Schlossberg and Steinberg to sparkling Frizzante, the extensive range leaves nothing to be desired.
Since 2019, the new Heurigen building with its inviting ambience has complemented the wine quality. The light-flooded wooden building offers space for around 90 guests inside and 70 more on the terrace. Here you can taste the wines and enjoy classic Heurigen specialties such as Hauerjause, roast pork, bacon from Mangalitza pigs as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes.
