The Grillhendl Heurige List, opened in 1965 by Burkhard and Hildegard List in the historic vaulted cellar of the main building, offers a unique culinary experience. The centerpiece is a self-built spit charcoal grill that turns the chicken into a real treat - crispy brown on the outside, juicy and aromatic on the inside. This specialty quickly gained fame in a wide area as far as Vienna and beyond. The growing popularity led to the expansion of the premises and the construction of two additional grills.

Today, the Grillhendl Heurige List welcomes its guests with more than 250 seats in two separate dining rooms - perfect for family celebrations, company parties and social gatherings. Since 1971, a cozy café in the old granary above the vaulted cellar has enriched the offer. Here, visitors can enjoy exquisite Italian coffee, homemade desserts, ice cream creations and selected spirits. The estate, a former feudal estate of Prince Metternich in Baumgarten am Wagram, has been owned by the Lists family since 1754 and is still run as an agricultural and forestry business today.
