The Franz Schenk winery, located in the picturesque village of Engelmannsbrunn near Kirchberg am Wagram, is a real gem for wine lovers. With a philosophy that combines tradition and modernity, this winery is a prime example of the combination of closeness to nature and many years of experience in viticulture with openness to innovation. The 4.5 hectares of vineyards stretch along the Wagram, a mighty ridge north of the Danube, and offer ideal soil and climatic conditions for growing different grape varieties.

Particularly noteworthy is the Grüner Veltliner grape variety, which thrives particularly well on the gravelly loess slopes of the Wagram and produces fruity wines with a fine aroma. The terroir - consisting of soil, topography and climate - is the ideal basis for wines of perfect physiological ripeness. In addition to the production of top wines, Weingut Franz Schenk also offers regular events and tastings where visitors have the opportunity to sample the wines of the current vintage.
