The Schmidl bakery and confectionery shop is a traditional Wachau business in the heart of Dürnstein, and has been offering its guests top quality and honest craftsmanship since 1780. The family business and inventor of the famous Wachau bread roll has always produced hearty, freshly baked bred, fragrant biscuits and the finest pastries using carefully hand-selected regional ingredients without flavour enhancers or other artificial additives.
