Run by Waltraud Gurtner and her colleagues, this B&B is located in a quiet but central spot between the Danube and the Tausendeimerberg in Spitz, one of the best wine-growing areas in the Wachau Valley. The cable ferry, the railway station and the pier are only a few minutes’ walk away. Twenty-two lovingly furnished, double and triple rooms, some with balcony, offer a beautiful view of the vineyards. A small, pleasant courtyard invites you to relax. Cyclists are fond of the B&B because of its location directly on the cycle path, the in-house sports shop and the bicycle garage. Several kinds of bread and pastries, as well as fruit, are included in the ample breakfast. And the Wachau apricot jam and apricot schnapps from Haus Oestreicher are always a popular souvenir.
