The Goldener Löwe is a traditional inn in the heart of Maria Taferl. In this probably most beautiful area of Austria, it is easy to switch off from everyday life. Our house has been the first port of call for Maria Taferl pilgrims and pilgrims on the Way of St James for generations. Members of alpine clubs sleep cheaper. We are a top innkeeper of the Lower Austrian inn culture and AMA seal of approval.
We offer double rooms with shower/WC, SAT-TV or a pilgrim's hostel (5 beds, massage shower, WC, library, terrace). We also offer a pick-up service for cyclists and a museum ‘Alpenpanorama’ - the little attraction in Maria Taferl. In our cabinet, which is dedicated to the heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, you can immerse yourself in a bygone era.
