Bus Service in the Wachau

The Wachau-Linien bus system is a premium form of public transport, offering regular service on the north and south banks of the Danube and a host of convenient extras for hikers and cyclists.

An attractive one-day pass is available for the region (Tageskarte Wachau) and is valid on the Wachau-Linien buses in the Wachau and on three Danube ferries (Dürnstein, Weissenkirchen and Spitz).
You can purchase tickets directly on the buses.

Wachau lines in regular service
Between Krems and Melk, the buses of line 715 run every hour on the north bank via Dürnstein, Weißenkirchen, Spitz and Emmersdorf and on the south bank the buses of line 720 via Rossatz, Aggstein and Schönbühel every 1 to 2 hours.
ATTENTION: due to the rockslide on the B33 at Aggsbach Dorf, a special timetable has been in force on the regional bus line 720 since 10.06.2024 until further notice.
