In Urfahr you walk along the Danube cycle path following direction power station Melk. This is the point where long distance trail Nibelungengau and Wachau World Heritage Trail meet. Now you pass castle Luberegg and walk on to Rantenberg. From now on the way leads down to Emmersdorf.
Power station Melk connects the north with the south shore of the Danube river and you can enjoy a direct view of Melk abbey. It is possible to cross the Danube following Wachau World Heritage Trail towards Melk.
