The Mühlberghof inn in Maria Laach am Jauerling is still known as an insider tip. The innkeepers Hermine and Franz Siebenhandl are meticulous in their kitchen. Every handle is handcrafted - the focus is always on local products. The house specialties are especially popular: the roast onion with parsley or the spinach slices with brown butter and vegetables. Not to be despised is the roast pork from the old wood stove. Even when you look at the menu, the first impression remains - the Mühlberghof is based on local classics and standards.
Classic tavern cuisine with home-made schnapps
The inn has existed since 1956 and since 2004 the Siebenhandl family has been in charge of the house. Hospitality, a liberal mindset and the clearly recognisable regional and seasonal approach to food preparation are the cornerstones of this success story. From the regular to the excursion guest - in this tavern everyone feels at home. The dining room and the banquet hall are designed in an inviting way and represent the typical of a tavern. You can relax on the sunny terrace with a view of the playground. It is no surprise: families with children are welcome here, but the passion of the innkeeper should not be left unmentioned. Franz Siebenhandl burns excellent schnapps, the walnut trees provide the basis for this.
