Surrounded by vineyards and solvent terraces, the stage leads from the wine town of Rohrendorf back to lively historic Krems - spectacular views included. Even the starting point of the tour exudes regional charm. The Rohrendorfer Kellergasse, known throughout Austria, and the Lenz Moser winery already invite you to linger and enjoy here. The route continues through beautiful vineyards towards the destination, passing regional vineyards like Rohrendorfer Gebling or Sandgrube. Accompanied by a dreamlike view over the idyllic Danube valley, the town of Krems is soon reached. There, numerous wine taverns and winegrowers cater for physical well-being. For all those hungry for discovery, there are also excursion destinations such as the Krems Art Mile with the spectacular Lower Austria State Gallery.

    Author’s recommendation

Austria’s longest Kellergasse, the Rohrendorfer Kellergasse with 72 press houses and cellar tubes is well worth a visit. You can find out which wine tavern is open, when and for how long in our Online Heurigen calendar! All dates can also be conveniently printed out.

A walk through the Krems Old Town: Charming alleys, fascinating house facades and lots of life!
