The Wachauerstube has been carefully renovated but still retains its patina, and today presents itself as a welcoming country inn serving upscale tavern cuisine.
The landlord - Gerald Diemt - tries to preserve old traditions and imbue them with new culinary life. This succeeds brilliantly in the cuisine, which is fully dedicated to being “down-to-earth but somewhat younger” as the host and landlord puts it. Dishes are therefore served at your table with creative input and visual joy. The wine list offers Wachau treasures in abundance, with special emphasis on the neighbouring Tegernseehof.
