The advantages of the inn by Hannes Windhör in Gemeinlebarn are well known, not only among the loyal regular guests. The menu at the Gasthof zum Jägerwirt is both creative and regional. The Sikawild comes from the local Danube region and is harvested, processed and prepared by the owner. Et voilà: The roe on forest mushroom sauce with crispy vegetables and croquettes, juicy pink fried. The stew of venison, braised in the oven with napkin dumplings and cranberries, has no comparison to fear. Since Hannes Windhör took over the family inn in 2008, a (wild) line has been consistently pursued.

The ambience is harmonious and the wine list offers many sparkling white wines from emerging winemakers of the region. Or rather light, fruity with a soft finish? The right red wine is quickly found.
