Let’s stick to the obvious first: The Dreikönigshof in Stockerau is an upscale tavern and hotel in one. The family business of Nicola and Thomas Hopfeld is committed to quality. The interior is tasteful, and the kitchen line inspires with individuality. In the kitchen, the Waldviertel organic beef from the Kamptal butcher’s shop Höllerschmid is prominently represented. Chef Martin Mocnik conjures up exquisite dishes: the beef tatar is prepared from the lung roast and served with wasabi and white bread. An excellent choice is the Tafelspitz in a soup pot with potato rösti, chives sauce and apple kren. As a tip in the dessert menu, the fluffy apricot dumplings are listed.

Tavern for (wine) connoisseurs
The Dreikönigshof in Stockerau is a culinary paradise.  A glance at the wine list reveals: Here is the ideal opportunity to taste at moderate prices through the local wine-growing regions. A focus is on the Weinviertel DAC, but the competition is strong: over 200 local wines are represented in the cellar. Thanks to its central location and good connection, the inn is often visited for conferences, seminars, weddings and birthday parties. The guest garden with vines and old wine press is worth a visit, while the traditional Sunday brunch is popular with families.
