The Florian Bauer winery, located on the Hengstberg in Feuersbrunn, cultivates 13 hectares of vines at an altitude of 210 - 370 meters above sea level. The vineyards benefit from layers of loess up to 15 meters thick, which are ideal for growing Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Pinot Blanc in particular. The soils are light and very water-retentive due to their high lime content. Vineyards with mineral soils in the Losling vineyard are preferred for Riesling.

The microclimate, characterized by the alternation of cool air from the Manhartsberg and the heat of the Pannonian region, enables the production of full, powerful wines with fruit and race. During vinification, the focus is on fruity wines that are a pleasure to drink. Hand-picking, transporting grapes in crates, avoiding mash pumps, gentle pressing and cooled fermentation in stainless steel are just some of the methods used.

In recent years, Florian Bauer, the son of the house, has introduced new techniques, including spontaneous fermentation in wood and ceramics, long fermentation periods and yeast contact with sufficient maturation time. The red wines are often aged in wooden barrels, sometimes in 500-liter barrels or new barriques for up to 24 months after the first and second fermentation. The Florian Bauer winery is known for its award-winning wines, including first place at the Wagram Trophy 2020 and Salon Winzer 2018 and 2021.
