“Naturally traditional enjoyment”, “Top Host 2016”
In the Wachau, on the right bank of the Danube in Rührsdorf, a small village set back from the road in the middle of vineyards and orchards, you’ll find ESSL’s country inn. The inn is the ideal meeting place for gourmets, wine connoisseurs and nature lovers to enjoy themselves and relax. Cooking is a passion and this passion-cum-vocation brings pleasure to your palate. Quality and the products’ origins are prerequisites. Franz and his son Philipp lovingly provide classic, traditional and new interpretations of dishes with seasonal creativity. Their cuisine has been awarded 1 toque by Gault Millau.
At lunchtime and in the evening, you can enjoy all this from bright, rustic furnishings in cosy corners, and in summer on the garden terrace with its biotope and adjacent apricot orchard.
Christine Essl and her service staff look after guests and offer wonderful wines to accompany the culinary arts of the chefs.
So enjoy yourself and experience the food at “Essl”!
